Set years before the events of Stephen King’s iconic novel IT, this prequel explores the origins of the shape-shifting entity known as “It,” which takes the form of a terrifying clown, Pennywise.

As the town’s dark secrets begin to surface, the story follows a group of young residents who start uncovering disturbing truths about Derry’s sinister history. From bizarre disappearances to unsettling supernatural occurrences, the group must come to terms with the evil that has been lurking in the shadows, feeding on the fear and trauma of the town’s inhabitants.

The town of Derry in 1962 is already caught in the shadow of something terrible. Four young friends—Teddy, Phil, Lilly and Ronnie—are reeling after their classmate’s sudden disappearance and vow to figure out why so many kids have gone missing (and why each of them is experiencing strange phenomena). At the same time, Major Leroy Hanlon arrives at Derry Air Force Base and faces a chilly reception among his fellow airmen, which hints that the horror affecting the town may connect with deeper, hidden forces.
